Child & Teen Therapy

We offer psychotherapy services for children and adolescents. Sometimes children and teens struggle with adjustment challenges that result in anxiety, depression, social problems, and/or behavioral challenges. When it comes to healthy functioning, a child’s socioemotional development is just as important as other aspects of health.

We aim to offer a safe and friendly environment for a child or teen to address life challenges and encourage the use of healthy coping skills that will serve them well into their future. The number and the frequency of therapy sessions varies depending on the needs of the individual and will be determined based on mutual agreement with the family.

Alderwood now offers Play Therapy!
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate form of counseling for children. Play is their language and toys are their words. Since play is a child’s natural language, toys and creative activities are used to help children express feelings, process experiences, and build coping skills in a safe, supportive environment.
